Tony unlocked the door to the room and stood aside to let Henry in. The room was clean and well-furnished. It had the crisp look of a room rarely used. Guess most people prefer the rooms with windows.

He rested his laptop case on a chair and gave the walls a quick inspection for openings anyway.

Henry followed behind Tony, a smile playing on his features. "Worried?"

"Better to be safe," Tony said. "You didn't have to come, you know."

"Of course I did." Henry disagreed, almost casually walking around the room.

"Anyway, it's good to see you," Tony smiled. He dug a bottle of cherry cough syrup and a paintbrush from the front pocket of his laptop case.

Golden red eyebrows shot up. "Feeling a bit sick?" Henry asked evenly.

"It's for wizard stuff. I've been learning to do wards and I figured I could put some on your doorway?" Tony gestured vaguely with the paintbrush, feeling foolish. "Keep the maids out and stuff."

"Oh?" Henry sounded curious and finally sat down on one of the chairs. "I believe I'm supposed to ask you how school is now."

Tony opened his laptop and pulled up the section on protective wards. "It's not too bad, actually," he said, then wrinkled his nose. "I have a chemistry project due tomorrow morning."

Henry did his best not to laugh. "Oh? And I'm sure you've prepared and done the best job possible of course."

"I'm prepared!" Tony protested. Mostly. Sorta. "Besides, the class is mostly about blowing things up."

"You needed an entire class for that?" Henry wasn't laughing. At all.

"It's scientific! Educational!"

"Are your other classes equally educational?" Henry asked, almost completely not laughing now.

"It's a school," Tony pointed out. "They're all educational."

"But do you get to blow things up in all of them?"

"I think explosions in Diplomacy would be considered a bad thing," Tony said.

"That is usually frowned on." Henry agreed.

Tony painted protective runes on the doorframe. "Probably bad in Alchemy and Leadership, too."

Henry gave this some serious thought. "Possibly not as much in Alchemy. I didn't realize they offered that as a class in school's now."

"I don't think they do in most schools," Tony said. "This place is a little unusual."

"A little?" Henry asked, his eyebrows shooting up again. He was beginning to think that this would be happening a lot this weekend.

Tony grinned. "Don't do anything in front of a squirrel that you want to keep private."

"Do they use acorns to spread the news?" Henry asked.

"Rum, I think," Tony said. "They work for the pirate radio station."

"Right." Henry said, a little skeptical.

Tony smirked. "You'll see." He finished painting the runes and stepped back. He closed his eyes and concentrated on feeding power into the runes. They flared up in a flash of red light which just as quickly faded away. The runes were still faintly visible on the doorframe.

"What should happen when someone steps through the door?" Henry inquired.

"Hopefully they won't," Tony said. "But if they do, the energies in the runes will alert me and I can get over here and run interference." He paused. "Also, it'll rain cherries."

"Cherries?" Henry double-checked, trying not to let his amusement at Tony checking up on him show through.

Tony showed him the cherry cough syrup he was using. "I'm still working out a few kinks in the spell."
