Oh, look, another open door. Imagine that, Turtle knocking on the doorframe.

"Hi, Tony, how goes it?"

"Hey, Turtle," Tony smiled. "What's up?"

From:

"Noooot much," Turtle said, "I've just got a bag here full of candy and was wondering if you might want some."

From:

"I'm always up for candy," Tony said cautiously. "Any particular reason you're being so generous?"

From:

"I like to think that I'm usually pretty generous," Turtle said with a wry smirk, and she fished out a little bag of candy with the 'Vote 4 Turtle' tag and lightly tossed it over to Tony. "But if you must know, it is campaign season."

Tony caught the candy. "A bribe, then," he smiled. "What's your platform?"

From:

"It's not a bribe!" Turtle insisted, with a heavy sigh and an amused roll of her eyes. "It's just a nice gesture that I think everyone would appreciate. My platform is that the nice thing about a democracy is that you can vote for the person you think is best for the job, and if you don't think I'm the best person, that's fine. You still get candy. I, however, do believe I am among the best for the job; I've got the experience and determination to back it up. But I believe in the system and may the best man or woman win."

"Okay, that's all good," Tony said. "But what will you do if elected? Where do you stand on, say, the use of magic in the classroom?"

From:

"Well, that's all pretty subjective, isn't it?" Turtle offered. "It makes perfect sense in a magical class, for example, but it you're using it to divine answers on a math quiz, I'd say that's unethical. For the most part, it is really a decision on the part of the teacher, but if you feel you've been magically discriminated in the classroom, I'd be more than happy to hear your case and see if there is something that could be done to make the situation more conducive for you."

Dinah wandered by after the sugar-and-movie fest at Jill's, bringing gifts.

"Look! Photos of you all adorable and fuzzy!"

Tony groaned. "No fair!"

From:

"So fair! I took you everywhere! When Jack didn't have you. Awww, look, there's you with Zack," Dinah said, holding up a photo from the Reserves. "So cute! And you're all fuzzy and cuddly too!"

"... okay, those are really cute," Tony admitted grudgingly.

From:

"And look, there's one of Tahiri feeding you," Dinah said happily, holding up one of him being given a bottle. "Awwwww." She tilted her head and raised her eyebrows. "How much of it do you remember, anyway?" Because wow, more than a few sensitive conversations had happened right in front of him over the last few days.

"Not much," Tony said. "And most of what I do remember is just seeing familiar faces and then 'ooh, something shiny to bite!' I thought it was dogs that chewed on everything."

"Whew." Dinah grinned at the photos, then said, "Not that I don't trust you, of course. But just as well." She snickered and held up one of him trying to climb a tree. "At least I didn't let you eat bugs?"

"And I thank you for that," he said. "How was your week? Besides having an unexpected tiger companion?"

From:

"Good. With some..." She paused, trying to think of the word. "Impulsive moments. Which you read about Thursday night, mostly." Dinah cleared her throat. "And I think I did well at auditions?"

From:

"Cool," Tony smiled. "I need to watch the movie of the play."

From:

"You do! We do. Even if I don't get a part, I want to help, and we can do some cool stuff backstage, and I bet Karla would help with making 'fairies' appear too, like she did with the ghosts last time." Dinah shuddered. "Waaaay realistic... oh, and Geoffrey will be really happy you're bipedal again."

"Oh, me too!" Tony held out his hands. "You never realize how great thumbs are until you don't have them anymore."

"Awwwww!" Dinah laughed, patting his thumbs. "Poor Tony. But you had so much fun!"

"Maybe a little," Tony admitted. "But I missed all my classes and Magic Reserves."

From:

"Well, I told your Wednesday teachers and Merlin, so they're not going to give you too hard a time. I missed the ones on Monday or Tuesday, life was crazy for me." Dinah grinned. "Professor Chevalier isn't Harry Breedlove! Or Mason. God, that's confusing."
